Success for one of our students…..

We have had a lovely email from one of our students letting us know that they won the recent competition we profiled here on the London Art College news blog recently. Louise Broome, who studied the Children’s illustration course, won the Meisha EP Competition. If you would like to visit the Meisha website and view Louises’ album art you can visit their site here – http://www.meisha.co.uk/

Louise emailed to let us know how she was inspired to create her design….

“…..I listened to the sample tracks on Meisha’s website to gain a feel for their work and as I doodled to the music the image emerged!  It is typical of my style. The figures represent the band members, leaving their mother tree and venturing off blind into the unknown!     After painting the image I then scanned it and used a digital program to gain the end result and desired effect.

I was thrilled that Meisha liked my design and my style.  I now want to develop a website to promote more of my work, currently my work can be found on Facebook, Deviant Art and Artists and Illustrators.  The London art colllege is a great source for competitions and I completed the children’s illustration diploma with you just over a year ago, I would like to complete the graphic design course in the future….”

We wish Louise the best of luck with her future art career and look forward to working with her on the graphic design course.
