We are delighted to share some wonderful work from Justyna Piecha, who has just completed our Illustration Diploma Course with tutor Steven Hersey. Congratulations, Justyna!
Justyna came to the course with very little formal art experience, and she tells us that some of the assignments were a real challenge, pushing her well beyond her comfort zone. That effort has clearly paid off. Her work is full of character and charm, from a rooster dressed for bed in a nightcap and bunny slippers, to a thoughtful girl walking home beneath a starry night sky. She has explored pen and ink, stippling, cross hatching and gentle washes of colour, and there is a lovely sense of humour and storytelling running through everything she creates.
Best of all, Justyna says that since starting the course she is making way more art, and we couldn’t ask for a better result than that. It has been a joy to see her confidence grow, and we hope she keeps drawing and enjoying every minute of it.
