Welcome to this week’s Weekend Art Challenge results, and what a heartfelt collection it has turned out to be. We asked you to celebrate your favourite pet, and you responded with such warmth and personality that it has been a joy looking through all of the pieces this week.
There are beloved cats in abundance, alongside a much loved rescue beagle, horse, chicks and plenty more besides. The range of mediums is just as lovely, with watercolour, soft pastels, chalk pastel pencil and oil pastels all making an appearance.
Some of these portraits capture companions who are sadly no longer with us, and any animal lover will know how difficult it can be loosing a loved and cherished pet. We hope you all enjoy this celebration of the pets who mean so much to us all.
