We are delighted to share the wonderfully vibrant work of Abirami Muthu Magesh, a student on our Colour Awareness course with tutor Monika Cilmi. Abirami’s work is a perfect reminder of just how powerful a truly confident use of colour can be.
Abirami creates a real understanding of colour, not just as decoration, but as a language. Her Indian outfit design illustration is a particular highlight, a beautifully considered piece that demonstrates a sophisticated grasp of how colours work together, from the rich purple base and magenta accents through to the carefully chosen complementary tones. It is elegant, detailed and shows real flair. Her pointillist portrait, built entirely from dots of pure colour, is equally impressive, showing a real instinct for how individual colours can combine to create form, light and mood.
Colour awareness is one of the most transformative skills an artist can develop, and Abirami’s work shows exactly why. Congratulations to her, and our thanks to tutor Monika Cilmi. If you would like to find out more about our Colour Awareness course, we would love to hear from you!
