Welcome to our Weekend Art Challenge Results, and what a treat we have in store this week! Baby animals, can you think of a more lovely subject? Our students couldn’t resist and the results are absolutely wonderful, with a variety of creatures, mediums and styles all united by that irresistible theme of new life.
We are delighted to share this week’s submissions, and we have to say, the very first piece stopped us in our tracks. A baby alligator hatching from its egg, created digitally with such confidence in the linework and shading, it is a genuinely striking image. What makes it even more special is the story behind it, as Debbie is new to digital illustration and used this challenge as a way to practise her skills. Growing through creative challenges is exactly what the Weekend Art Challenge is all about, and this piece is a brilliant example of what can be achieved when you simply give something a go.
Stay tuned for another challenge tomorrow.
