Weekend Art Challenge – Cacti

Welcome to this weeks results for our weekend art challenge on the subject of Cacti. We are delighted to share with you some of the artwork that our students have created. We received some lovely submissions that showed creativity for this prickly subject!

One of the standout pieces we received was by student Nina Kottoor, who painted a beautiful scene of cacti in watercolour. Her wet in wet techniques are awesome, her colours are superb and we chose her work to be this week’s featured image. Congratulations, Nina!

We would like to thank all the students who participated in this challenge and we hope you had fun and learned something new. We are always impressed by your enthusiasm. Stay tuned for another challenge tomorrow, and keep up the good work!

This is a Bunny Ears Cactus ( Opuntia microdasys) I’ve used wet water coloured pencils and children’s paint. Kept this piece of work plain and simple.
