Weekend Art Challenge – Your Front Door!

Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge where we set our students the task of drawing or painting their front door. Actually, it could be any door into their house, front, side or back, just as long as it was an interesting entranceway.

Our featured image this week is by student Claudia Wellwood and we love her depiction of her front door. Scroll down to see the illustration in full. So many little details to look at. Well done Claudia!!

Also the photos taken by student Kelley Brautigam of her front door and garden are stunning. A definite must see on this page too! Well done to everyone who took part!

We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.

GIMP painting for this week’s art challenge. It’s not really my door, but it looks like the door I would love to have.

The door challenge. When we purchased this house back in November 2005, it was lawn from the road to the door. I began cultivating this garden the very next spring. It’s come a long way since the beginning. This is the path all must take to reach our front door.
