Weekend Art Challenge – Charcoal

Welcome to our latest art challenge! Time to get MESSY!! Draw anything – any subject and any style as long as it is in pure charcoal. We would like you to only use charcoal, don’t be tempted to use pastel or white for highlights, this is just purely an exercises in charcoal.

You can read about charcoal and some of the more famous charcoal drawings on The Met website. Below are two that we have picked out as inspiration for you. We are very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with. And if you make a mess… we’d love to see a photo of that too!!

Post your entries on Facebook, or email them to us. Please note if you do post on Facebook we might miss it, so if you really want to see your work here, make sure you email it to us!
