Weekend Art Challenge – Roosters!

Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge results. We definitely have something to crow about today! Aren’t all of these rooster paintings and drawings amazing! We love them all. What a fantastic subject to choose for our art challenge this week and we will be sure to do something similar in the future.

Our feature image is a beautiful painting of a rooster by student Victoria Burgess. Mr. Crows A. Lot was created using alcohol markers on mixed media paper and if you scroll down the page you will be able to see it in full. We absolutely love it, the colours, depth of tone and texture is superb.

We also have to mention the amazing watercolour of the stunning and very handsome rooster below by student Sarah Egerton. Sarah said “My first ever rooster! I love how they strut around proudly and hoped to convey a little of that ‘cockiness’ in my picture.”

We believe Sarah has achieved all she set out to in her painting and we hope you all find not only Sarah’s painting inspirational, but all of the paintings, drawings and digital art here too. Get those pencils and brushes out and give this theme of Roosters a go for yourself!

We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.
