Student Dora Birgis came up with the idea of illustrating, drawing or painting memories from our childhood. This challenge might make your ponder for a while, in not only what you will portray but how you will create it. A lot of imagination and creativity might be required for this one.
Some ideas for this challenge might be as follows. You might have memories of staying with your grandparents, baking in your kitchen, helping make cakes, playing with your dog, making sand castles on the beach, picnicking with your family or camping holidays in the countryside. Your favourite memories might be playing with your school friends on warm summer evenings or perhaps arguing with your siblings over things you cant even remember!
Whatever you decide to create your artwork on, why not accompany it with some text about the artwork that you have created and the story behind it. We would love to add it to our blog next week.
Have fun and enjoy!
To take part, students can post their artwork on our Facebook Group or Email it to us for inclusion.
Start your post with “Weekend Challenge” so we know you would like it featured on our blog.
Please only post new artwork that you have created specifically for the challenge.
The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly. Most of all, have fun!!
For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend.
The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday.
We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included.
All of the photos we post on our London Art College Weekend Challenges are copyright free. Feel free to use the artwork you produce however you wish. If you would like your artwork posted here on our blog, email it to Melanie at email@example.com. If you have any Weekend Challenge requests let us know too! Best of luck and happy drawing and painting!
