Liane Baber

I am taking the Chinese Brush Painting Course with tutor Monika Cilmi. Holding the brush differently from a pen has taken some getting used to. I am starting to feel a little more control. With the permanence of the ink it is important to test the strength of whats on your brush before applying, along with the alchemy of brush, ink, water paper. It will all take a bit of time to be comfortable with. The challenge and how to use wet on wet ink application and getting a crisp image with water is proving to be tricky also.
