Welcome to our beautiful collages of birds by student Sara Roberts who is studying the Illustrating Children’s Books Diploma Course. Tutor Maggy was thrilled with Sara’s main collage and felt it would be a great addition to the blog to show for inspiration. We have added two other practice pieces to show students and readers too. You can read a little about Sara below and we are very much looking forward to seeing more from Sara in the coming weeks.
I am very attracted to some children’s picture books and loved reading them to my own children. I dream of creating a book of my own. It may be just for personal satisfaction, or for family and friends, but I would like to develop the skills to do a good job. I am not aiming for a career as an illustrator but for the satisfaction of creating something that I am proud of and that others can enjoy.
