Gemma Dobson

Gemma Dobson has been working really hard on her Pet Portrait Diploma Course and we have added two of her pieces of work below. The Pet Portraits course doesn’t only include pets – you can paint or draw wildlife too. Gemma has portrayed a Koala mum with her baby in pastel on black paper which is excellent.

Her second portrait in acrylic is of two dogs, looking down at them, sitting in grass. Gemma has handled the texture of the grass well, particularly on the top half of the painting where she has lessened the detail and created a lighter tone to help give the grass distance.

If you are interested in learning how to paint wildlife, head on over to our website and check out our course page on pet portraits.
