Welcome to this week’s Weekend Art Challenge results, where we set our students the task of creating artwork using the colours orange and black. Timed perfectly with Halloween, this colour challenge sparked an impressive range of interpretations, from spooky seasonal scenes to nature studies, portraits and abstract work.
The variety of mediums on show was equally impressive, taking in oil pastels, soft pastels, acrylics, watercolour, charcoal, fine liner, brush pen and mixed media, each bringing its own quality and uniqueness to the glow of orange against the depth of black.
Thank you to everyone who took part and made this such a stunning collection! Stay tuned for another challenge posted here tomorrow.
