Weekend Art Challenge Results!

Welcome to this week’s Weekend Art Challenge results, where we asked our students to paint or draw the irresistible subject of baby rabbits. The entries are a little quieter than usual this week, which is completely understandable now that we are in the heart of summer and many of you are enjoying holidays, gardens and sunshine. For those who did find a moment to pick up their brushes and pencils, thank you, because the results are absolutely beautiful.

There is something so appealing about baby rabbits as a subject to draw or paint. We have a variety of approaches on show, from delicate pen and wash to watercolour lifted with masking fluid to keep those bright highlights, alongside pen and ink, coloured pencils with white pen on toned paper, and a mixed media piece bringing together acrylic and oil pastels. Every one has its own warmth and personality, and together they make a sweet little gallery of bunnies to brighten the day.

Thank you to everyone who took part this week. We hope you enjoyed it, and do stay tuned, because a brand new Weekend Art Challenge will be posted here tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you back, and we cannot wait to see what you create next.
