Weekend Art Challenge Results – Letter C!

Welcome to our latest Weekend Art Challenge results, where we set our students the task of creating artwork inspired by the letter C. And what an extraordinary response we received! This has to be one of our most varied challenges yet!

Among the subjects this week cats featured prominently, and quite rightly so and a still life packed with a cup on a coaster, coffee jars, cocoa powder, cherries and chocolate cookies, all rendered beautifully in line and wash. We had an elegant Cape gooseberry, a churchyard in Henley en plein air, Ozlem submitted two stunning watercolours, a cosy cottage and a sweeping countryside scene inspired by Cronin.

Nicki created a digital cabin in the woods using Art Flow. Then we had a cheetah a mixed media camel, complete with gold glitter and a googly eye, crabs chatting at a castle alongside a striking cactus, a cornflower with a bumblebee, a charming collection of caps, and a portrait of Charlie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that is absolutely full of personality.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part. The creativity, range of subjects and variety of mediums on show this week has been truly inspiring!
