Welcome to the results of our latest Weekend Art Challenge, where we invited our students to dive into the wonderful world of sea life. What a bright, playful and vibrant collection has washed up on our shores this week. From the deep blues of the ocean to shimmering scales and glistening fins, the whole gallery seems to sparkle with colour and movement, and it has been an absolute joy to explore.
You brought us such an imaginative array of creatures, from drifting jellyfish and graceful sea turtles to seahorses, sharks, dolphins and even a splendid sea dragon. Just as delightful is the sheer inventiveness of your techniques. Alongside watercolour, pen and ink and acrylics, there are collages with sparkling sequins, cheerful googly eyes, stick on pearls and cut out paper fish, all adding real texture, humour and life. It is wonderful to see so many of you experimenting and clearly having such fun with the theme.
Thank you to everyone who took part and shared their beautiful, colourful work. We hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did, and do stay tuned, because a brand new Weekend Art Challenge will be posted here tomorrow. We cannot wait to see what you create next.
