Weekend Art Challenge Results – Autumn Colours!

This week we set students the challenge of capturing the rich, warm tones of autumn for their weekend art challenge, and what a stunning collection we received. From golden leaves to hedgehogs and cosy countryside scenes, to the wearable fashions for autumn! The entries truly reflect the changing season.

Some pieces are vibrant and bold, filled with oranges, reds, and golds where others are more muted and atmospheric, capturing the quieter side of autumn. There’s a lovely variety of subject matter too, all united by that distinctive autumnal palette.

Thank you to everyone who took part. It’s been a joy to see how you have all embraced the colours and feeling of the season through your artwork. Stay tuned as we have another challenge tomorrow for you all!

I’ve drawn a woodland scene with autumn colours. The drawings of the leaves were freshly fallen and are pinks, purples green and yellow. There’s a little friendly hedgehog curled up amongst the leaves. I’ve used mixed medium: crayons, acrylic paint and pens were used.
Hedgehog was added for cuteness.

There is a beautiful Continus (smoke tree) near my home. In the Autumn, its beautiful red leaves start to fall and change to endless varieties of reds, yellows, oranges and greens. I love drawing them.

These fall colors were painted with an ink liner, graphite pencils, and Derwent watercolor pencils. I was looking to do something folkartsy.
