We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Anita van Lent-van de Klashorst, who completed the Botanical Painting Course with Merit in November 2024.
Anita had a very distinctive artistic style – her compositions were consistently vibrant, lively and full of colour.
She approached her studies with commitment and curiosity, always keen to grow and refine her technique. Each assignment was met with enthusiasm and care, which shone through in the thoughtful details of her work.
My personal favourite is her composition of fruit and vegetables that she submitted for her final assignment. From the delicate texture of the kiwano’s skin to the bloom on the plums and the glistening pomegranate seeds that look as if they could be picked off the page, the piece is a testament to her skill and love for the subject.
We send our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time.
