Weekend Art Challenge – Shades of Pencil

Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge where we set our students the task of creating a drawing, in any subject, but only using pencil. They could use as many grades of pencil and any techniques they wished. We have received some superb drawings in response to the challenge.

Our featured image this week is by student Latha Bhaduri Prabakar and we love this study. What you see in the featured image only shows a small detail, so do scroll down to see it in full. Well done Latha.

We also want to mention the drawing by Jane Reid below. Very creative and unique. We thing it is superb! Jane used used Faber Castell Pitt Graphite Pencils from grades 2B to 14B. We hope that you find it as inspiring as we do.

Well done to all of our students who took part this week. Everyone’s artwork is excellent. Stay tuned for another challenge tomorrow!
