Weekend Art Challenge – Fresh Harvest

The “Fresh Harvest” Art Challenge is our most recent weekend art challenge which allowed our students to explore the vibrant world of fresh fruits and vegetables. The response to the challenge was excellent, with a very diverse range of artwork which you can see below.

Among the standout pieces is our featured image by student Van Khanh Nguyen. Van Khanh Nguyen’s delicate watercolour painting of apples is beautiful, bringing the apples to life, showcasing their waxy textures, subtle colours, and the lovely play of light on their surfaces. Well done for a lovely painting.

All of our students submitted stunning pieces this week and we would like to say well done to each and every one of you. A new challenge will be heading your way tomorrow, so stay tuned!

This is my fruit bowl drawn from above using pastels for the Fresh Harvest weekend challenge. I have to paint a still life for my next assignment so this is good practice

To create this image I used 2 photos taken at the Boqueria market in Barcelona. The little faces are those of the “zigotos de massapà”, little marzipan characters. They were next to the fruit stalls ….. and so cute! (I created this image with GIMP)
