Weekend art Challenge – Footwear

Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge. This week we asked our students to put a spring in their step and study footwear! It could be any footwear from clompy working boots, to delicate ballet shoes.

We have received a varied array of beautiful drawings and paintings and we really hope that they inspire our readers to look down at their feet and have a go at drawing their shoes …. or slippers today!

Our featured image is by student Latha Bhaduri Prabakar who has painted ballet shoes in Watercolour. Latha said …”As ballet shoes are specifically used for a dance form, I like them the most’. We love them Latha, keep up the fantastic artwork!

We done to everyone who took part this week!!

We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.

I drew my son’s shoes which he wore twenty seven years ago as a toddler. I used charcoal pencils and charcoal.

I drew a picture of one of my boots. It’s a mixed medium piece of work: children’s paints, drawing pencils and an animal print ink stamp.
