Weekend Art Challenge – Fireworks

Welcome to our fireworks display! We set our students the huge task this week to depict fireworks in paint, pastel, coloured pencil, mixed media or digital. Anything with a splash of colour.

We think our students all have done a marvellous job with their artwork as you can see below. Our featured image is by student Normal Tharby with a wonderful painting depicting huge crashes, pops and whizzies. Norman has painted plenty of movement in his artwork and we love it.

We also love the pastel painting below by student Helen James. It shows a fireworks display over the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. So much work has gone into the artwork, we especially love the warm highlights on the building, it really brings everything to life.

We hope that our students have enjoyed this weekend challenge, a new one will be posted here tomorrow.
