Weekend Art Challenge – Zebras!

Welcome to our very stripy weekend art challenge all about Zebras! Our featured image this week is by student Jeff West and we love it! Lots of bright colours and stripes, fantastic character…a zebra that we would all like to meet I think!

We also love Nina’s collage below, so many layers and lots of depth. Wonderful colours too. Well done to everyone who took part this week! Some amazing pieces!

We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.

This is a watercolour with some base modelling compound. I’ll call it “Great Expectations”. Zebras are found in ancient cave paintings in Africa (that surprised me) but probably not one thats looking forward to being a mum! The painting is A3 size.

A tricky challenge but I have given it a go!
