Weekend Art Challenge – Your Favoruite Objects

Welcome to this weekends art challenge where we asked our students to think about an object that means a lot to them and try to draw or paint it. It’s been a really lovely challenge as it has generated some lovely stories behind the objects chosen.

We love the featured image this week by Rabia Naseer, scroll down to see it in full and to read why it means so much to Rabia. We were also quite emotional reading about Vera’s toy cat below. Isn’t it a beautiful painting! Well done to everyone who took part this week. The next challenge might make you all feel a little peckish!!!

We hope that everyone enjoyed this challenge. Stay tuned for a new Weekend Art Challenge posted here tomorrow.

This soft toy cat is one of my favourite things.
It was given to me by my little grandson a few years ago, when he saw my pain after loosing my cat.
Vera Jaouadi
This weekend challenge is a watercolour sketch of a cafeteria which is a daily favourite just after lunch!
Norman Tharby
This is a quick drawing of my favourite brush pot.
Susan Hawes
A very old ceramic gift I had as a child. I just thought it was so charming.
Nina Phillips
This teddy is my favourite object. It was given to me by my younger sister when I moved out. It sits on my bed side table and always reminds me of her.
