Student Peter Barnett completed these pieces of artwork for the Oil Painting Course tutored by Alan Dedman. Peters work is very varied and the course has allowed him to experiment with different painting techniques and subjects as you can see in this blog post.
For the splashing paint exercise Peter set up some cardboard taped together with masking tape and then emulsioned the surface. Peter used Green, Royal Blue, Dark Blue, Red and Yellow paint, and using a two inche domestic paint brush, splashed paint onto the surface of the cardboard. Peter photographed the painting at different stages and we have added them below. Scroll down to view them.
