Weekend Art Challenge – Photo in a Mirror!

Welcome to our new weekend challenge – ‘photo in a mirror’. We are partnering with our lovely Photography tutor Rona Cox who set this challenge for her own students this week.

We would love it if our students could take a photo of themselves in a mirror using their phone or camera. All of Rona’s Photography students should use their digital camera.

Ideas!
We have added lots of photos below to give you some ideas of what you could do. Our very own Alison posed upside down on a bed and took her photo very cleverly in her mirror..can you see the cat in the scene too?

Tutor Rona Cox got up close to her mirror and peered around her camera smiling away!

I have taken a few different photos myself to help with ideas. The first showing a corner of the mirror with items in front. This helps set the scene with some interesting objects in your home.

If you have a small mirror on the wall like my heart mirror, you could show the full mirror and pose standing back. I was holding my dog as an addition to the scene.

If you have long mirrors in your home, perhaps that are leaning against a wall on the floor, you could sit in front of the mirror or perhaps crouch. This is ideal if you would like to take a full body pose of yourself.

My final photo was up- close to a mirror kissing my dog. What could be better! If you have a pet that you are able to have in the scene, this would work well.

We hope that our students have lots of fun taking photos and experimenting with them at different angles and poses. Please make sure that you only capture parts of you and your home that you are happy showing here on our blog.

NOTE – Just as a heads up…you might need your photos for next weekends challenge!!!!
