One of our students had been inspired by Van Gogh and has created a wonderful interpretation of his sunflowers painting. This is a superb warm and inviting rendition of this painting.
This painting of a butterfly was so colourful, warm and inviting I felt it would look great on our blog. It has the Colleges blue colours in too! This is a piece of work from the Drawing and Painting Diploma. This course offers such a wide variety within the course there is always a piece Continue Reading
This drawing was submitted into last years student of the year competition and was short-listed into the top 13. The student drew this still life as part of her Pet Portraits Diploma for the drawing and observation unit which she has just submitted for critique. I felt it was well worthy of a blog post!
This illustration is very simple yet wonderful effective. The two sides to the drawings convey different feelings. This is an excellent concept and is beautifully painted.
This drawing has caught my eye today, I love the way the objects have been shaded to reflect their sounding and the other objects. Everything feels very clean and well drawn and I hope it inspires you to pick up your pencil!
This piece of artwork was so eye-catching I felt it was well worth a blog post. It is from a student who is in the process of undertaking the children’s illustration course. Isn’t it fabulous!
Today’s picture is of a still life drawing a students completed for the Pet Portrait Diploma Course. Learning to draw is most important and creating a still life like this tackling all the different textures is a wonderful challenge and this student has triumphed! I hope this inspires you to pick up your pencil!
This is our choice for the blog today and this is a piece from the Children’s Illustration course. The students use of coloured pencil works beautifully with the texture they created within the paper.
