Samantha Wing is currently working through our Illustrating Children’s Books Diploma Course with the gentle guidance from tutor Maggy Roberts. Maggy asked for Samantha’s Firey Fred illustration to be posted here to inspire other students. We are thrilled, as we love it too! The wonderful colours Samantha has used on the dragon and the lovely watercolour washes are superb. We very much like his socks too!<\/p>\n

Having never done children\u2019s illustration before I am out of my comfort zone, but I have learnt a large amount about what publishers would look for, sizing and how to present work.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We are really looking forward to seeing more of Samantha’s artwork and wish her the best of luck for her next assignment!<\/p>\n
