This is Vallabhi Shegaonkar from\u00a0D6 Illustrating Children’s Books Dip course.<\/p>\n

I have used a kind of decorative style for this illustration as I never wanted it to appear monotonous. The core theme is that children are fond of sweets of all forms – be it sugar candy, chocolates, ice creams etc and that is what I have tried to bring in this illustration. A boy silently rows his boat on a stream and hopes to reach to a place which every child dreams of.\u00a0On the right hand side I have tried to show that the boy is living his dream: in a\u00a0place, where his house is on his huge boat, sugar candies and cupcakes growing along the bank of the stream, trees bearing chocolates, \u00a0and a bag full of candies with him.<\/p>\n
