Hello Everyone,<\/p>\n
My name is Robert McGowan and I am the creator of snipegrass-cartoons.com. I did a cartooning diploma course from London Art College with tutor John Byrne circa 2011-2013. I found the course very helpful as I have always doodled and loved cartoons since I was a child in Bristol back in the 70s (I am 46)and I have always had a love for it.<\/p>\n
I once tried to be a cartoonist here in Ireland back in the 90s but a lack of skill\/knowledge\/formal education etc. made this attempt ill-fated,\u00a0so much so, that I got this course to force myself to do it again (the recession crashed my odd job business)and even then I was well into my 2 year deadline before I tackled it.<\/p>\n
I found this course excellent as there is no nonsense or over-embellishment and it is full of real need-to-know information, if i had this in the 90s I would not have been Labouring these last 2 decades.<\/p>\n
In my work I do a lot of satire (unhappily, it is fuelled by rage and disgust) but my true passion is cute and spiky \u2018toons about (mainly) Irish wild animals, so please check out my website, Facebook and Twitter links added below\u00a0and my e-mail is robmcgowan1969@yahoo.co.uk – any feedback would be appreciated!<\/p>\n
