Welcome to the results of our latest Weekend Art Challenge, where we set our students the wonderfully open task of creating artwork inspired by the letter H. It is always a joy to see where a single letter can lead, and this week our students took it in the most imaginative directions, proving just how many possibilities can spring from one simple prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The range on show has been an absolute delight. We have hills, huts and harbours, a hat and handbag, a hand study, and even a portrait gathering up hat, head, hair and hands all at once. On the wildlife side there is a hornbill, a hyena, a hound and a hog, each brimming with character. There is a real sense of travel running through the collection too, with scenes from New Zealand, Sydney, Hvar and Kenya, and a lovely variety of mediums including watercolour, pastel, pencil and acrylic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to everyone who took part and shared such thoughtful, inventive work. We hope you enjoyed this one as much as we did, and do stay tuned, because a brand new Weekend Art Challenge will be posted here tomorrow. We cannot wait to see what you create next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
