Amelia Whiffin who studied on the Coloured Pencil course completed this superb drawing of her cat Amber. The colours and depth of tones here are superb, congratulations Amelia on a beautiful piece.<\/p>\n

In general it can be tricky\u00a0to create deep tones using coloured pencil and a lot of artists try not to use black at all, or if they are using it, they\u00a0mix it with other colours. If you are experimenting with your coloured pencils try using dark greens, dark blues and rich browns to create your dark tones as it can often add more depth to your work.<\/p>\n
