Working slowly can sometimes feel like falling behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In reality, slow work is often thoughtful work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking your time allows you to observe more carefully, make considered decisions and respond to what is actually happening on the page. Rushing can lead to frustration and overworking, while a slower pace often leads to stronger results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone works at a different speed, and that speed can change depending on the subject, medium or even the time of year. There is no correct pace for making art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working slowly also gives you space to enjoy the process. When you stop measuring progress by speed, it becomes easier to focus on learning and discovery instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your work feels slow at the moment, try not to judge it too harshly.
