You can choose any subject you like, from landscapes and leaves to animals, still life or abstract work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a lovely opportunity to focus on colour and mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Choose a limited palette to keep colours harmonious<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Think about tone as well as colour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep the composition simple<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let colour set the atmosphere<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use <strong>any medium you like<\/strong> for this challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If students would like to find photographic reference, we always recommend using <strong>Pexels \u2013 copyright-free images<\/strong>:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pexels.com\">https:\/\/www.pexels.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simply use the search box and you will find thousands of high-quality images to save and work from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We cannot wait to see what you come up with and we will be sharing the results on <strong>Thursday 1 October<\/strong> on our blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly. <br><br>So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge &#8211;  or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too! <br><br>Remember to submit your artwork to us via email if you would like it posted on our blog next week.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">Email your artwork to us for inclusion on the blog next week. We sometimes take challenge posts submitted to our Facebook group to add to the collection, however we may miss some, so if you really want to see your work here, make sure you email it to us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#ffe1e8\">All students can take part and they can post their artwork on our main <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1833827336869316\/\">Facebook Group<\/a> to share with fellow students. <br><br><strong>If you would like your work included in our weekly Thursday blog post <a href=\"mailto:techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk\">Email<\/a> it to Melanie on<br><a href=\"mailto:techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk\">techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk<\/a><\/strong><br><br>Please only post new artwork that you have created specifically for the challenge. <br><br>The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly. Most of all, have fun!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#d7f0ff\">For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend. <br><br>The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday. <br><br>We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"background-color:#4f697e\">If you would like to receive a roundup of all of our blog posts once a week to keep you inspired in your inbox, why not sign up to our newsletter.
