You might choose a single plant, a collection on a windowsill, or a close-up study of leaves and stems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This challenge works well across all styles and skill levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Look closely at leaf shapes and structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simplify patterns rather than copying every detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Think about composition and negative space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Let the plant be the main focus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use <strong>any medium you like<\/strong> for this challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If students would like to find photographic reference, we always recommend using <strong>Pexels \u2013 copyright-free images<\/strong>:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pexels.com\">https:\/\/www.pexels.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply use the search box and you will find thousands of high-quality images to save and work from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We cannot wait to see what you come up with and we will be sharing the results on <strong>Thursday 30 April<\/strong> on our blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-background-color has-text-color has-background\">The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly. <br><br>So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge &#8211;  or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too! <br><br>Remember to submit your artwork to us via email if you would like it posted on our blog next week.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Email your artwork to us for inclusion on the blog next week. We sometimes take challenge posts submitted to our Facebook group to add to the collection, however we may miss some, so if you really want to see your work here, make sure you email it to us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#ffe1e8\">All students can take part and they can post their artwork on our main <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/1833827336869316\/\">Facebook Group<\/a> to share with fellow students. <br><br><strong>If you would like your work included in our weekly Thursday blog post <a href=\"mailto:techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk\">Email<\/a> it to Melanie on<br><a href=\"mailto:techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk\">techsupport@londonartcollege.co.uk<\/a><\/strong><br><br>Please only post new artwork that you have created specifically for the challenge. <br><br>The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.
