Early assignments focus on drawing accuracy and observation, encouraging you to look closely at the proportions and structure of an animal\u2019s head and body. From there, students move on to exploring fur texture, markings, and the subtle variations in tone and colour that bring realism to a piece. Attention is also given to one of the most expressive parts of any portrait, the eyes, which are so important in conveying character and emotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the diploma progresses, you are encouraged to bring all of these elements together in more complex and finished portraits.
