We are delighted to feature the wonderful pastel artwork of London Art College student Gelise McCullough. Gelise is currently studying on our Pastels Certificate Course<\/a>, and her pieces already show an exciting range of mark-making, colour use and subject matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her coursework pieces reflect a confident exploration of this medium. From bold still life studies of figs and garlic, where soft layering and directional strokes bring depth and texture, to abstract and semi-abstracts filled with movement and atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gelise\u2019s work is a brilliant example of how versatile pastels can be. Whether used for expressive, loose drawings or for tightly rendered still life work, they offer a tactile, responsive surface that many students grow to love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pastels Certificate Course<\/a> is ideal for beginners and those looking to explore pastel techniques in more depth. Students are guided through a series of structured assignments that cover soft pastels, oil pastels, pencil pastels, and mixed media.
