Inspired by the brilliant <strong>Jayme Hennel<\/strong> and her beautiful <strong><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/jaymehennel.com\/30-flowers\">30 Flowers project<\/a><\/strong>, we\u2019re setting you the task of drawing or painting <strong>Summer Flowers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose any flower you like \u2013 whether it\u2019s growing in your garden, spotted on a walk, or simply a favourite bloom you love the look of. You can focus on one flower or create a little group if you prefer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bonus challenge<\/strong> \u2013 if you\u2019re able, try to add the <strong>name of the flower<\/strong> somewhere in your piece. You can handwrite it, print it, stencil it, stamp it \u2013 however you like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ideas to get you started:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A neat, labelled botanical-style sketch<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A big splashy watercolour bloom<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A group of wildflowers from your last walk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A favourite flower from your garden, pot, or windowsill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Something bold and abstract with big colour blocks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A soft graphite pencil drawing with shading and detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1840\" height=\"2192\" src=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-32645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2.jpg 1840w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2-768x915.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2-1289x1536.jpg 1289w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2-1719x2048.jpg 1719w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2-770x917.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Untitled-2-360x429.jpg 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1840px) 100vw, 1840px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can interpret this challenge however you like, the main thing is to enjoy the process, celebrate the season.
