Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge where we set our students the task of creating artwork on the subject to draw or paint the view from your window. Whether it was a garden, a street scene, or the neighbour\u2019s cat, the idea was to capture what you see in your everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We received a wide variety of artwork which were beautifully calm and serene. Some of them even gave us a little glimpse into our students world. We particularly liked Judith’s Squirrels painting, it looks like the birds have some competition on the feeders! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you to everyone who took part. We really enjoyed seeing your views, and as always, a brand new challenge will be posted tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I live in Norway and have a panoramic view of Hafrsfjord from my living room window.\u00a0 I took a Sumi e Chinese painting course with London Art College a number of years ago.\u00a0 I saw this view one morning and thought it looked like a sumi e painting.\u00a0 After I took a photograph, I worked with it in Photoshop and managed to make it look even more painterly.\u00a0

This is not my window. It is from my course book unit 18, original was painted by Frank Sherwin. I did earlier as coursework but I\u2019d like to re-do it. So, I did again with watercolour on A4 size watercolour CP paper, Bockingford 300 gsm.
