Welcome to our latest weekend art challenge where we set our students the task of creating artwork on the subject of Pandas! This week\u2019s challenge brought an outbreak of panda-monium<\/em> (Thank you to Catherine T for her panda-monium<\/em> artwork!) in the best way possible! Our students were asked to draw or paint pandas and the results are simply fantastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The black and white markings of these wonderful animals made for some really striking compositions. From realistic studies to fun and playful interpretations, each panda has so much personality. Whether it\u2019s a panda balancing drinks on roller skates, peeking through bamboo, or just being delightfully fluffy, we\u2019ve loved seeing each and every one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big thank you to all of our students who took part. We really enjoyed this one and we hope you did too. Scroll down to see the brilliant artworks and prepare to smile!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I painted the panda with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Black Star Waterproof India Ink, using a round watercolor brush and a filbert grainer. For the colours of the butterfly I used Jupitearth ultra-silky twistable crayons for toddlers. (I bought them for my grandkids, love them for myself as well.) I painted on Bee Paper Company Artist Marker Paper (Super smooth).
