Welcome to our weekend challenge and today it is all about sky and clouds. We all have access to look up at some point in the day wherever you are in the world. Whether is is a beautiful blue sky, a rainy sky, misty, early morning bright rich colours, late evening warm tones, angry thundery clouds or beautiful sunsets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We experience some form of these each and every day that we are going about our daily business. But do we actually look up and notice them? Do you see the shape of the clouds, their colour, form and pattern? We hope this week you will!

Whether you choose to use colour to portray them, draw using pencil or charcoal, take photos or make a collage using wet in wet wash cutouts, the choice is yours. You could even try to portray the night sky with a full moon! You can be as creative or as realistic as you would like. We are very much looking forward to seeing what your come up with!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of these challenges is to help students improve their skills by drawing, painting and creating regularly.

So try to submit work that you have created specifically for the challenge – or course work you are currently creating for your art course. Sometimes our challenge themes cross over with what students are learning. Our challenges are great practive for your coursework too!

Remember to submit your artwork to us via email if you would like it posted on our blog next week.

For those who are new to our challenges, we post them every Friday, so that students have a chance to pick up their pencils, pens, brushes or tablets to create artwork in their downtime over the weekend.

The results are the posted here on our blog on the following Thursday.

We love it when students add text to go along side the artwork, we will always post it on the blog if included. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
