We are thrilled to feature some beautiful artwork by one of our talented students, Nurg\u00fcl \u00d6zkeser, on the blog today. Completed outside of her formal studies, Nurg\u00fcl\u2019s paintings of fruit and still life subjects showcase her amazing skills as a painter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing inspiration from the Old Masters, Nurg\u00fcl has expertly captured the richness and depth of her subjects using beautifully dark, luscious tones and warm, harmonious colour palettes. Nurg\u00fcl\u2019s attention to detail and ability to create light and shade within her pieces adds to their realism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are you inspired by Nurg\u00fcl\u2019s stunning paintings? Here are a few pointers for students looking to try their hand at painting fruit and still life compositions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Study Light and Shadow<\/strong>: Pay close attention to how light falls on objects and creates shadows. This adds depth and realism to your work. Nurg\u00fcl\u2019s paintings highlight the importance of using light to enhance the three-dimensional quality of her subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choose a Simple Composition<\/strong>: Start with just a few objects, like Nurg\u00fcl has with a line of apples so you can focus on form and technique. Gradually introduce more elements as you grow more confident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
