During his time in Brussels, he befriended fellow surrealist Andr\u00e9 Breton and developed a unique approach to art that challenged conventional perceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Son of Man (1964):<\/strong><br><em>Medium:<\/em> Oil on canvas Perhaps one of Magritte&#8217;s most iconic works, &#8220;The Son of Man&#8221; features a suited man with a bowler hat, standing against a low wall with a cloudy sky behind him. His face is obscured by a hovering green apple, creating an air of mystery. It can be found in the Australian National Gallery. &#8220;The Lovers 11&#8221; portrays a couple kissing with their heads shrouded in cloth, blurring the lines between intimacy and anonymity. The painting is a testament to Magritte&#8217;s fascination with paradoxes and the hidden aspects of human relationships.
