I started the Digital Illustration Course<\/a> with the aims of improving my art and learning to use GIMP and Inkscape \u2013 I\u2019d used illustrator and Photoshop while studying graphic design but was ready for a change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first attempts at drawing with a tablet and stylus were challenging to say the least, I started many new pieces as I struggled to produce something to submit. In the end I settled for pieces that I wasn\u2019t entirely happy with but felt the need to draw a line under my efforts and move on to the next assignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fortunately, my tutor Monique<\/a> was extremely supportive (and kind) about my early efforts, and I felt sufficiently encouraged to keep going. For me, none of the assignments were quite so challenging as the first one, and learning to trace my pencil drawings was a revelation. Still can\u2019t believe I made it all the way to the end of the course, thank you Monique for your expertise, patience, and encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
