We absolutely love the these and characters she has created and you can read all about them in the text by Rachel below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I have enjoyed this course enormously and it has, as I hoped, made my try new things. When I do get around to writing my book, I will definitely put these skills to use. Thank you for your feedback so far which has been most encouraging. I\u2019ve included a few notes for context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The soul eating unicorns are opposed by only one race (as yet nameless), a sort of flying anteater creature whose tongues can disable the horns of the unicorns. This illustration shows a battle between the creatures.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"1166\" src=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass3.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass3-768x878.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This is based on the novel \u2018Beauty\u2019 by Sherri Tepper which is a long-standing favourite of mine. In case you are unfamiliar, I will explain that it involves time travel, magic and references a number of fairy tales. The central character ages dramatically through the book. I know I didn\u2019t need to do the title, but it seemed to develop out of the illustration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"1338\" src=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17998\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass2.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass2-768x1007.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I have continued with the vicious soul eating unicorn race; this is their vehicle. They can fly unaided, but are very lazy and prefer to travel in comfort.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1020\" height=\"730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18008\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass4.jpg 1020w, https:\/\/www.london-artcollege.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Rachel-Malpass4-768x550.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1020px) 100vw, 1020px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The interdimensional portal is used by the soul-eating unicorns to travel between their dimension and our own.
