Welcome to our beautiful collages of birds by student Sara Roberts who is studying the Illustrating Children’s Books Diploma Course<\/a>. Tutor Maggy was thrilled with Sara’s main collage and felt it would be a great addition to the blog to show for inspiration. We have added two other practice pieces to show students and readers too. You can read a little about Sara below and we are very much looking forward to seeing more from Sara in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very attracted to some children\u2019s picture books and loved reading them to my own children. I dream of creating a book of my own. It may be just for personal satisfaction, or for family and friends, but I would like to develop the skills to do a good job.  I am not aiming for a career as an illustrator but for the satisfaction of creating something that I am proud of and that others can enjoy.<\/p>Sara Roberts<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
