This very bold study has caught my eye this week and I felt it was worthy of a blog post. Similar to the pen and ink drawing in my previous post, the student has used bold black tones to bring out the white of the flowers and the vase. It\u00a0would\u00a0be a good experiment to do a negative version of this – dark flower and pot with white\u00a0background\u00a0and then perhaps to introduce some\u00a0coloured\u00a0versions in watercolour\u00a0over\u00a0the pen and ink. Its so important for students to experiment with their work, as it can often result in some productive and superb studies.<\/p>\n
