Weekend Art Challenge Results

Welcome to our Weekend Art Challenge Results and what a wonderful collection you have all created! This week our students turned their creative attention to cows, and the results are fabulous.

We have to begin with Nina, who had a stroke of genius and chose to paint the iconic Ermintrude from The Magic Roundabout, using a wonderfully eclectic mix of acrylic pens, children’s paint, acrylic paint, coloured pencils and even stickers.

Overall our students brought a fantastic range of approaches to the challenge, in all forms of mediums this week from watercolour, acrylic, pen and ink, pencil drawings and coloured pencil. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all come through our inbox and on Facebook this week.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this week’s challenge. It has been an absolute joy to see so many different interpretations of what has to be a very popular subject to draw. We hope you enjoyed the creative exercise as much as we enjoyed seeing the results. Keep an eye out for our next Weekend Art Challenge, coming tomorrow!

My Watercolour painting of Highland cows from a photo I took at Jimmy’s Farm, Suffolk in 2024. It was on my art ‘to do’ list. I also made a drawing of the same image to start with in 2B pencil.
