Weekend Art Challenge Results – The Letter R!

This weekend’s challenge was all about the letter R, and our students ‘rose’ to the occasion brilliantly! From radiant roses and regal robins to rushing rivers, rustic rooftops, and even Rudolph with a red nose, the variety of ideas and interpretations has been fantastic.

We love these alphabet themed challenges because they really open the door to creativity. It is always fascinating to see how one simple letter can inspire so many different directions. The artwork submitted this week ranges from beautifully detailed pencil drawings and watercolour paintings to bold, imaginative pieces full of colour and character.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and shared their “R” artwork with us. You have all done a remarkable job! Stay tuned for the next challenge coming along tomorrow!

Seeing the letter R immediately brings mind 红楼梦 (Red Chamber Dream), a cornerstone of Chinese literature. The word Red itself is 红. I have attached my drawings of the lead characters, Baoyu and Daiyu.
